Technical Bio Oils

Raisio manufactures bio lubricants and develops other product applications for technical use. The main raw material for the products is Finnish grown rape seed oil.

Raw materials and additives which are bio degradable creates excellent foundation for up-to-date products for various customer needs.

Production of technical bio oils

Our production facilities locate in Raisio factory area and are ISO 9001 and 14001 standardized. We control the whole production chain, from field – via oil and meal- to finished high quality bio lubricants. Our production processes are technically and qualitatively superior. Each production patch is analyzed as well as raw materials and additives. If needed each production batch has traceability. We have audited all our raw material, additive and package producers and we use only certified products. Material safety data sheet, specification and batch analyze certificate are delivered to the customer upon request. The product are available depending on product in 1000l IBC container, 200l drum or as a bulk-delivery by tank truck.

Properties of Lubria-lubricants

Vegetable oil is a natural polar ester. Lubrication properties of vegetable oil are very good by nature, which leads to low friction and wear. Excellent lubrication properties have direct link to long lifetime of machinery. Vegetable oil based lubricant is also a good solvent , which means that dust, dirty and other impurity particles are easily flushed away from metal surfaces. Vegetable oils and their ester based products have naturally high viscosity index. This means, that Lubria products function well in large temperature areas from cold to hot. Because the molecular structure is unit, also the safety at work is quaranteed: High flaspoints. Lubria products have minimum impact on the operators because they are non-toxic and non-irritating for the skin and eyes. Beside the superior technical properties, Lubria products minimize the impact to the nature, because they are rapidly bio degradable, renewable and non-bio accumulating. Research and Development in Raisio

Raisio has over 25 year experience in biolubes research and development For our new Lubria product series we have used all our knowledge and knowhow of vegetable oils, first, second and third generation raw materials, taylor -made additives and new analysis and standards in biolubes. Our Laboratory is ISO 9001 and 14001 standardized and we use only standardized methods in our analysis. We analyze in our lab raw materials, additives and final products. We also make quality control analysis from customer samples. One of our strengths is wide co-operation with research institutes, universities ,laboratories and competitors worldwide. Our technical customer service is very flexible, quick and open. Technical safety data sheets are written according to REACH regulations.
